[READ THE WHOLE INTRO or this creepy grandpa will haunt you! ]
If you clicked on this post, you're probably very fascinated by the idea of spirits and ghosts. The image above is from When Denise Russel took a photo of her 94-year-old grandmother in 1997, and there was no one standing behind her. However, a few years later when looking at the photo, the ghostly figure was photobombing it. Family members all agreed that the man in the photo looked an awful lot like Russel's grandfather who had died 13 years before the photo was taken.
IMHO, Most people believe that there is some slight unexplained supernatural activity but generally ghosts don't exist. Have you ever considered the possibility that if energy from our body can not be destroyed, as in if souls exist, they have to go somewhere right? They go to the spirit realm, where they look according to their sins and suffering. (hence the scary looking spirits) The ones from lower realms(aka Hell) look the most disfigured, who also have unfinished business and are yet to find peace to move on to the better realm. So, the spirits with sudden deaths who'll go to their home (spirit realm) soon, might show up in our realm for a brief time.
Those which occur for a long time after their death, are trying to communicate for reviewing their unfinished business in the spirit form. These are more popularly called "hauntings". The Grandpa who photobombed his wife is one example of a haunting. But look at it more like an "appearance", and try to understand the science and the stories behind them.
Wait till you see other photos, you'll sh!t bricks. So scroll on at your own risk.
